“Falling Skies” is quick of the mark with the release of their first trailer for season 4 which is due next year. According to a recent report by Screencrush.com, the clip was revealed at the New York Comic-Con, featuring the aftermath of the third season finale and mysteries for the upcoming season.

Spoiler Alert! (If you’ve missed season 3)

Tom (Noah Wyle) and Weaver (Will Patton) is detained in a prison camp. Matt (Tom’s youngest son) attends what looks like a military academy. We also get to have a sneak peek at new aliens and a mysterious girl staring at the moon. With most of the characters separated from each other, things will become tougher for the surviving members of the group to stay alive.

New showrunner David Eick and star Doug Jones revealed that separation would play a large part in the upcoming 12-episode season and the moon would act as a “unifying image”. Eick additionally revealed that “Star Wars” fans will appreciate the direction for the fourth season which drew inspiration from “Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back”.

“Falling Skies” season 4 will premiere in the summer 2014.
