The name says it all, taken from Native American legend skin-walker, Skinwalker Ranch is apparently home to bigfoot-like creatures that look like large animals with piercing yellow eyes. Skinwalker Ranch, also known as “UFO Ranch”, is a property located on approximately 480 acres southeast of Ballard, Utah. In addition to the hairy creatures “indigenous” to this location, there are sightings of unidentified flying objects, invisible objects emitting destructive magnetic fields, crop circles, glowing orbs and poltergeist activity.
Journalist George Knapp and co-author Colm Kelleher from the Las Vegas Mercury, authored a book in which they describe the ranch being acquired by the National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDSci) to study the Supernatural activities to try and uncover the truth.
Sam and Dean should be called to oversee the investigation! Devin McGinn will have an opportunity to make his directorial debut to tell the stories of the supernatural phenomena cited at Skinwalker Ranch, with Adam Ohler penning the script. The film will use a found-footage style, as a scientific research team investigates the disappearance of a cattle rancher’s 10-year-old son.
Hollywoodreporter.com confirms that McGinn will also star in the film and will produce alongside Murphy Michaels and executive producer and Deep Studios founder Ken Bretschneider. The film stars Jon Gries, Kyle Davis, Erin Cahill, Matthew Rocheleau and Steve Berg.
The tale based on the “true story” of Skinwalker Ranch, will release the film day-and-date in theaters and VOD in more than 20 markets across the US.
