‘The Butler’ took ‘Kick-Ass 2’ to the cleaners on its debut weekend, as well as the returning films, ‘Elysium’ and ‘We’re The Millers’.

As Cecil Gaines serves eight presidents during his tenure as a butler at the White House, the civil rights movement, Vietnam, and other major events affect this man’s life, family, and American society.

‘Kick-Ass 2’ received the “poor review treatment” that might be linked to the films poor performance at the box-office. ‘The Lone Ranger’ suffered a similar fate, costing Disney millions in losses. The violent ass kickers came in fourth place with $13.6 million for the weekend, with the ‘We’re The Millers’ over performing in second place at $25 million.

Surprisingly we see another big budget sci-fi film under-performing at the box-office with Elysium in third place with $13.6 million for the weekend.
