Director Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim is another movie we can’t wait to see this year. We like to call this “The-Robotech-kinda-movie”. Imagine Transformers on steroids, then you get Pacific Rim. The film is set in a near future where soldiers piloting giant robots battle against invading giant monsters who have mysteriously risen from beneath the ocean. Del Toro has said the film will be “a beautiful poem to giant monsters”.
Don’t expect this movie to take home the Oscars for acting, but b sure to expect some of the most magnificent, gloriously looking epic battle scenes between robots and aliens you have ever seen!
