The Actors behind the Masks, Who played these famous roles?

Below are some of the popular characters in moves that we’ve all seen. Yet the actors behind these roles remain generally unknown. These are the actors behind the masks:

1. Darth Maul

Darth Maul, the one bad guys we would have loved to see more of. His role was played by Ray Park. You may also recognize him as  Toad in X-Men, and Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

2. The Faun (Pan’s Labyrinth)

Doug Jones and Pan's Labyrinth

This movie turned out to be a cult classic, the role of the faun was played by Doug Jones. Some of his other films all include Hellboy II: The Golden Army and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

3. Hellboy

Played by Ron Perlman. Perlman must be quite used to layers of latex, seeing as hes also done three seasons of Beauty And The Beast.

4. Mistique

How do you get a naked woman in a PG-13 movie? You paint her blue and put all kinds of latex layers on her. This role was played by none other than Super model Rebeca Romijn.

5. Michael Myers

Played by Tyler Mane. If you don’t know the movie, then you have a serious gap in your education. He also played Sabretooth in X-Men and Ajax in Troy.

6. Jason Voorhees

Played by Derek Mears. Some of his roles since then was the  “Classic” Predator in the Movie Predator.  In Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides he played Master-at-Arms, and in more recently roles in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters Edward.

7. Darth Vader

David Prowse and Darth Vader

If not the most viral and well known villian of all time, but do you know who played this role? Who was the man behind the mask? I doubt if anyone would have known who he was as the actors strolled down the red carpet.

8. Davy Jones (Pirates of the Carribean)

Played by Bill nighy, we know him as playing  Viktor in the Underworld film series.

9. Pennywise (IT)

Played by Tim Curry, I remember being scared shitless by this movie… horrifying clowns to hundreds of people for years!
