Does anybody know about the ‘Ghostbusters 3’ sequel that is in the works? The little we know so far is that the new movie is expected to focus on a younger generation of Ghostbusters. Apparently the third “Ghostbusters” installment has been in development for years and Sony is expected to make decisions about the future of the project. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the project will move forward as scheduled without Harold Ramis who passed away at the age of 69 on Monday, February 24. The script will require minor revisions to accommodate the removal of Ramis’ cameo appearances.
A project insider tells The Hollywood Reporter:
“he was always great to bounce something off of, and that will certainly be missed but it won’t affect the script.”
Director of the first two instalments Ivan Reitman, will take a seat behind the lens to helm the third one. Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (“The Office”) scribes are hired to pen the script.
