George Lucas and Doug Davidson won their first Emmy at the 40th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, held on Sunday, June 16. The “Star Wars” creator received the award through his executive-produced show, which was picked as Outstanding Special Class Animated Program.

The American 3D CGI animated television series debuted on the US version of Cartoon Network on October 3, 2008. It is set in the fictional Star Wars galaxy, during the same time period as the previous 2003 Star Wars: Clone Wars series (the three-year time period between the films Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith).
