As mentioned previously, there is a serious revival in the classic turn-based role playing games. Nothing could bring us more joy as classic turn-based PC games where the beginning of our PC gaming journey. I’m talking about games such as Planescape: Torment, Baldur’ Gate, Ice Wind Dale and Neverwinter Nights. We’ve been keeping a close eye on 2 fully funded kick starters for the now already released Wasteland 2 (released late 2014), and the soon to be released Torment: Tides of Numenera. Numenera being the long awaited follow-up for the early 2000 game Planescape Torment.
Also note the big boy Dragon Age: Inquisition that can also be played as a turn-based D&D type of role playing game.

Another soon to be released classic Dungeons and Dragons turn-based PC game heading our way comes from the well known developers Forgotten Realms (Pool of Radiance (1988), Baldur’s Gate (1998), Icewind Dale (2000) and Neverwinter Nights (2002)) called Sword Coast Legends. It will be a 1-4 player turn-based RPG. Just like in the good old days.
But, today we bring you news of yet another classic RGP turn-based D & D game that is already released, and you can go buy it now! Called Pillars of Eternity, this game is something special. The official website tells the story of this Kickstarter that is now already released. From what we’ve seen this is truly an amazing game, and we just made our purchase via the steam store.
