We mentioned yesterday that Olivia Wilde is trading in her good looks for a pale reanimated complexion in Blumhouse Productions’ “Lazarus Effect”. If the creepy picture released of the beautiful movie star didn’t peak your interest, check out the first official trailer released for the upcoming horror movie. We are huge fans of Olivia Wilde (check out our viral Wallpaper collection), and we can’t wait to see her in a role that doesn’t pin the actress as just another pretty face.
“The Lazarus Effect’ is helmed by David Gelb’s (Jiro Dreams of Sushi) and Written by Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater. We were so excited to see that Donald Glover (“Community”) is appearing in a supporting role, [spoiler alert] but he is literally crushed to death (or at least it looks that way) at the end of the trailer. Wilde and Glover are joined by Mark Duplass (“The League”), Evan Peters (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”) and Sarah Bolger (“Once Upon a Time”). The horror movie is set to be released on February 27.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“When a team of research students mapping the human brain accidentally kills one of their own, they unwittingly unlock a deadly force by reanimating their colleague. Fighting for their own lives, the team must contain their colleague in the lab before she is unleashed on the world.”
