Horror geeks are in for another wild season of “’American Horror Story” with the forthcoming “Freak Show” heading our way in October on FX. After the amazing run “American Horror Story: Coven” enjoyed with a finale best for the FX series franchise, we have no doubts that series creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk will push the limits for their upcoming fourth season. Building anticipation for the freak-centric season, Sarah Paulson shared a picture revealing her character via Twitter. The picture features the actress as a two-headed character!
She captioned the pic:
“So excited to be playing Bette AND Dot this season. Two heads are better than one!”

In all likelihood Paulson will portray two characters, Bette and Dot, siamese twins part of the Florida freak show. Paulson told E! News that her first reaction to reading the Freak Showscript was: “Holy s–t!”
She added:
“I feel like that’s the appropriate reaction you want when you read the first script of American Horror Story,”
“So it’s very exciting and totally nerve-wracking in the best way, because you think, ‘How the hell am I going to pull this off?!’ And as an actor, I think that’s an exciting thing to feel.”
This is another huge character change for the 38-year-old actress who appeared in every season of “American Horror Story” so far. She previously took on roles as a medium, reporter and journalist.
The “carnival” themed fourth season will be set in the 1950’s with Jessica Lange taking the lead in her fourth and final season. EW.com also revealed the possible storyline and returning actors a while ago. “Set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950, Freak Show finds Jessica Lange playing a German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S. Her group of “unusuals”?
Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy all play performers whom Lange’s character has rescued; Denis O’Hare and Emma Roberts are also in talks to return. Freak Show’s 13 episodes will track this group as they do anything to keep their business around.”
“AHS” season 4 is set to be released in October on FX.
