Bad news to kick off your Monday morning. Latino Review is reporting that writer-director Drew Goddard has left Marvel’s Daredevil series production. The new Daredevil series is not to be confused with the movie. A Daredevil movie reboot ( one we still very much look forward to, see our 10 reboots to look forward to) is still in limbo, while the series was moving forward along with the other 3 marvel superhero series that Netflix ordered a while back.
The award-winning Goddard was set to write and direct the pilot for Daredevil and serve as executive producer and showrunner for the Netflix series. While the circumstances for his departure is still unknown, we can only assume that seeing as this is Marvel, it had something to do with creative differences.
Let’s hope that Marvel can replace a director as good as Goddard, and that the Daredevil reboot does not suffer the same fate as the original movie starring Ben Affleck.
The 4 shows we can look forward to, ordered by Netflix are Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. Read more on this here.
