Harold Ramis, one of the most iconic movie geeks to grace the silver screen have passed away at the age of 69 on Monday, February 24. The actor/director died due to complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels. Ramis is mostly remembered for his role as Egon Spengler in 1984’s “Ghostbusters”. He is also remembered for roles her portrayed in “Groundhog Day”, “Stripes”, “Caddyshack” and many more films.
Ramis and Bill Murray are well-known for their frequent collaborations and creative efforts to bring to life some of the most memorable cult classic comedy flicks. Ramis forms part of a legacy when slapstick 80’s comedy was a fine tuned art of cheesy one-liners we could not resist.
