The god of thunder is at the top of the box office for two consecutive weeks. Alan Taylor’s “Thor: The Dark World” is still in first place with an estimated $38.4 million domestically, taking home a total $147 million in North America so far. Internationally “Thor 2” raked in an additional $52.5 million, moving its total earnings to $332.8 million internationally and $479.8 million worldwide. Another quick look at the figures reveal that after two weeks in the U.S. and three weeks in foreign market, “Thor 2” surpassed the global $449 million marker achieved by the first installment.

“The Best Man Holiday” takes the second spot with approximately $30.5 million, boasting with an impressive “A+” from CinemaScore, attracting female audience (75%) and African-American (87%). “Last Vegas” sits in the third spot and “Free Birds” drops in at fourth place. “Gravity” is still holding on at the sixth spot with an additional $6.28 million.
