We were privileged to see the official first trailer for Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” just days ago, and earlier this week, Warner Bros. also released a new theatrical trailer with some additional footage. The new trailer features the same sequence of events where the trouble between Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill’s Superman begins, but we also get to see a bit more of the conflict between the two superheroes. There is also more screen time for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, and we receive some insight as to why conflict started.
The trailer opens with a scene featuring the massive destruction left in the wake of the epic battle that took place in “Man of Steel”. Bruce Wayne’s buildings were also involved in the destructive fight between Superman and General Zod. We get to see Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne as he assists innocent bystanders while the city is ripped to pieces during the fight.
Check out the official synopsis:
“Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”
The theatrical trailer will be screened in IMAX theaters soon. Snyder’s superhero flick will arrive in North America on March 25, 2016. Cavill, Affleck and Gadot will be joined by Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.
