Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is going to have a huge presence at San Diego Comic-Con next week. We’re looking forward to see a full trailer! While we wait to see exactly what Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have in store for us, here are 9 New Batman v Superman Set Photos thanks to EW. They feature Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne and Batman; Gal Gadot as WonderWoman without her costume; Henry Cavill’s Superman being worshipped; and Jesse Eisenberg sporting some long hair as Lex Luthor.
Affleck talks about the Caped Crusader with the magazine, calling him the American version of Hamlet. He explains:
“We accept that he’s played by actors with different interpretations. He’s at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life. There’s this sort of world-weariness to it.”
That’s a great description for everything we’ve seen of the character from the film so far. Batman just looks burnt out, but Superman and a few other superheroes and villains are sure to light a fire under his ass, and reinvigorate him and his purpose.
Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
