The “Ghostbusters” reboot has been received with mixed emotions ever since it was announced that one of our favorite comedy franchises will be making a comeback. It is unlikely that the reboot will get it right with so many iconic moments to live up to in past films, and who will ever be good enough to replace the team of geeks and nerds we have grown to love so much through the years?

Now featuring an all-female cast played by Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, who knows what director Paul Feig has in store to recapture the hearts and mind of avid Ghostbuster fans? Feig took to Twitter recently to announce that geek community favorite “Avengers” and “Thor” actor Chris Hemsworth will be joining the cast as a receptionist for the team of female ghost hunters in the film.
Feig posted Hemsworth’s photo on Twitter and captioned it:
“Our receptionist. #whoyougonnacall.”
Hemsworth replaces Annie Potts, a receptionist for the ghost hunters’ team from the original film series. It is a clever move to draw in moviegoer who are doubtful starters for a comedy franchise that should have never received the reboot treatment. Whether if we like it or not, this movie is happening and hopefully it will be something memorable. The jury is still out and only time will tell if Feig will pay homage to one of the most iconic movie franchises in comedy history.
