We have been waiting for a very long time to see Deadpool back in action and there might be an added bonus for all those avid fans of the masked mercenary. “X-Men” star and portrayer of Marvel’s wolverine Hugh Jackman is very keen to accept an offer to appear in the upcoming “Deadpool” pic. Jackman’s Wolverine previously appeared onscreen with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, but most geeks will agree that their onscreen appearance needs a serious do over! Jackman and Reynolds were last seen together in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” which is said to be none existent in the new scheme of things going forward in the Deadpool and Wolverine universe.
In a recent chat with MTV U.K. the Australian actor said he is ready to suit up and reprise his role as the Wolverine:
“[Wolverine and Deadpool] are enemies in the comics, and they always spark off well together,” “I’d be open to that idea.”
The 46-year-old actor says Reynolds is “good friend” and he is confident in his abilities to bring the heat for an awesome “Deadpool” movie, he said:
“Ryan is a really good friend of mine, I’m really happy for him. He’s a brilliant actor and he will nail it.”
Reynolds returns as the masked mercenary in the Tim Miller directed pic from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Simon Kinberg is producing with Lauren Shuler Donner, with Fox planning a March start in Vancouver. The hotly anticipated comic book movie is slated for an early 2016 release. Morena Baccarin is cast as the female lead opposite Renolds, and Gina Carano is set to play Angel Dust, a mutant whose ability allows her to elevate her adrenaline levels to provide her with super strength.
