There is a hot scoop making the rounds that “Dallas Buyers Club” actor Jared Leto has entered negations to star in DC’s “Suicide Squad“. The 30 Seconds to Mars rocker will reportedly take on the role as Batman’s arch-nemesis, The Joker! Ryan Gosling was attached to take on the iconic villainous role, but he was reluctance to sign a deal with options for multiple movies.
Reliable movie scoopers The Wrap had the following to say:
“Oscar winner Jared Leto is circling a key role in David Ayer‘s “Suicide Squad” that could prove to be The Joker, an individual familiar with the Warner Bros. project has told TheWrap. Warner Bros. had no comment, while a representative for Leto did not immediately respond to a request for comment.”

Tom Hardy, Will Smith and Cara Delevingne are in various stages of discussions for the project. Jesse Eisenberg is expected to reprise his role as Superman’s foe Lex Luthor and Margot Robbie is rumored for Harley Quinn. The DC Comics supervillain team movie will be scripted by Justin Marks. The story revolves around a group of convicted villains in DC Comics Universe who were given a second chance for redemption. Dan Lin (“The Lego Movie”) will serve as a producer. “Suicide Squad” is set to be released August 5, 2016.
