Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. To Kick Off with Captain America Crossover
We heard rumours a few days ago that Captain America’s Agent Peggy Carter will appear in the first episode of the new season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.L.D. and today we have that confirmation. Not only agent Carter, but the entire group of Howling Commandos as well! This includes Kenneth Choi and Neal McDonough reprising their roles as Jim Morita and Dum Dum Dugan from Captain America: The First Avenger.
The first episode of the new season is titled “Shadows” and it’s set to premiere September 23rd on ABC. Here’s the synopsis that was previously released:
“Coulson and his team are now wanted fugitives with limited resources. But that’s not stopping them from keeping the world safe from powerful and unseen threats everywhere. However, with new members they hardly know, will S.H.I.E.L.D. ever be trusted again?”
Back in the day, Peggy Carter was an integral member of the S.H.I.E.L.D. prototype group Strategic Scientific Reserve (together with Tony Starks a.k.a Iron Man’s father) and her path was similar to that of now Director Phil Coulson , who must rebuild S.H.I.E.L.D. from the ground up after the seismic events of last season.
How exactly she will form part of S.H.I.L.D. in the present is still unknown. Will someone go back in time and fetch her? Will it only be a flashback type of episode? We will have to wait and see.
