Blizzard has confirmed Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition will be released on PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 on August 19.
The Ultimate Evil Edition bundles together the original Diablo III with its Reaper of Souls expansion and, crucially, it’ll allow you to transfer your PS3 or Xbox 360 character to PS4 or Xbox One respectively so you can continue your progress.
Other features worth mentioning include local co-op for up to four players, online multiplayer, an Apprentice mode to boost low-level players’ strength when loot-hunting with higher level friends.
As you’d expect, the last-gen versions of the game are slightly cheaper at $39.99, while it’ll cost $59.99 on PS4 and Xbox One. Pre-ordering the title now will net you an Infernal Pauldrons in-game item.
This is the first time we’ve had confirmation that the expansion Reaper of Souls and Ultimate Evil Edition would be available on any platform other than PS4, though hints have been coming for some time. Last year, Blizzard confirmed that Reaper of Souls will run at 1080p at 60fps on PlayStation 4.
As usual, Blizzard is giving away something special if you pre-order your copy. You will be getting a set of internal pauldrons, wearable at level 1. These devilishly handsome shoulder plates provide bonuses to Vitality, Life per Second, and Cooldown Reduction, and are primed and ready for transmogrification. The key for the Infernal Pauldrons can be found in any launch day copy of Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition.
The PC pre-order players all received a Angelic set of Wings.
