21st Century Fox found an actor to portray the villainous Victor von Doom a.k.a Doctor Doom according to recent reports. Sam Riley, Eddie Redmayne, Domhnall Gleeson and Jack Huston were among the actors earmarked to take on the coveted role. Fox has set their sights on Toby Kebbell to play the “Fantastic Four” team’s arch nemesis. Kebbell was last seen in the British miniseries “The Escape Artist”, and his credits also include “War Horse”, “Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time” and “Rockarolla”.
Based on the comic “The Ultimate Fantastic Four,” the contemporary update will focus on the characters as young men and women. The film will follow the foursome who gained superpowers after exposure to cosmic rays during a scientific mission to outer space. “X-Men: Days of Future Past” scribe Simon Kinberg is hired to pen script. Michael B. Jordan will take on the role as The Human Torch, Miles Teller as Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic. Kate Mara is tapped to play his on-screen sister Sue Storm a.k.a The Invincible Woman and Jamie Bell will play Ben Grimm a.k.a The Thing.
The Josh Trank directed ‘Fantastic Four’ flick is set to be released on June 19, 2015. Kebbell will be seen next in “Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes” and 2016′s “Warcraft”.
