It is one of those moments when you realize the irony when a dedicated camera man films a bragging jogger landing flat on her back after a quick interview with KOIN 6 News reporter Lisa Balick. Chelsea and Michael are “California kids” brave enough to take on the snowy Portland roads for a quick jog at night.
Chelsea smugly told the reporter in a professional tone (as if the snow in California has taught her anything):
“It’s the perfect texture for running, very low impact and it’s dry snow so your feet don’t get wet,”
Her boyfriend replies at one point:
“I don’t know how they do with the bikes, like breaking; at least we can control it, worst case we can just slide through a stop sign and, we’ll be ok because we’re pretty visible at night”
Visibility for joggers are also key to ensure you avoid an embarrassing pratfall on national TV. Chelsea jogged a few feet up the street and slid on a shiny patch, landing flat on her back. We’ll allow the lazy couch potatoes to enjoy this one!
