Forbes announced the Top 10 Movie Flops of 2013. The films listed in this article failed to earn back their budgets.

The Fifth Estate sits at the top of the list. The Benedict Cumberbatch starrer helmed by Bill Condon (“Gods and Monsters”) earned just $6 million at the global box office on a budget of $28 million (21% return). The Sylvester Stallone hitman thriller slides into second place earning just $9 million at the global box office (36% return).“Paranoia” takes third place which include the likes of Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman and Liam Hemsworth. The movie that centres an entry-level employee who spies on his boss’s old mentor, garnered only $13.5 million at the global box office on a budget of $35 million (36% return). “Parker“ ranks fourth, with Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham attached as the stars. The film raked in $19 million on a $35 million budget (36% return),Broken City” is one of the big surprises on the list, starring Mark Wahlberg and co-starring Russell Crowe. Wahlberg’s homerun efforts with “Ted” and “Contraband” did not see him through for a third time. The movie earned just $19 million on a $35 million budget (54% return).

No.6-10:

The dance movie “Battle of the Year,” starring Chris Brown, returned only 55%. Action thriller “Getaway” takes the sixth spot. The Ethan Hawke and Selena Gomez starrer returned only 58%. Rounding out the bottom three: Peeples (60%), R.I.P.D (60%) and The Big Wedding (63%)
