“Gravity” ruled the North American box office for three consecutive weeks and was finally dethroned by “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa”. Entertainment Weekly reports that the fourth “Jackass” film is the 3rd-biggest R-rated comedy opener of the year, earning an impressive $32 million stealing the no.1 spot. This is the first “Jackass” film with some sort of plot, played out with a hidden-camera. This marks Johnny Knoxville’s career with another box office No. 1 with a total of six on his impressive resume. He has taken the top spot on the podium previously with all three Jackass” films, “Men in Black II”, and “The Dukes of Hazzard”

“Gravity” falls to the second place with $20.3 million (down 32%) from last week. The Sandra Bullock–George Clooney space epic, which has earned nearly $200 million at home and another $164.4 million abroad, is the biggest hit this year.
