Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd have been earmarked to portray ‘Ant-Man’ according to a recent report by Variety.com. Marvel is apparently considering both actors to take the lead role as the brilliant scientist. If the report is on the money, we have to assume it’s down to Gordon-Levitt or Rudd Both. They will meet with Marvel execs and director Edgar Wright one more time before a decision is made.
32-year old Gordon-Levitt previously appeared in a superhero movie, playing John Blake in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises”. He is also one of the “younger” guys in Hollywood making his mark as a strong contender with the acting chops and star power to bring Ant-Man to the forefront. Rudd will forever be stuck in my mind as Josh from the 1995 teen comedy “Clueless”. The 44 year old star is however a good actor as well, and he is well known for the characters he portrayed in “Anchorman”, “Knocked Up” and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”.
Unfortunately we don’t have any information revealing what we can expect in this anticipated Marvel movie, GeekShizzle will keep you posted!
“Ant-Man” will be coming in a little earlier than expected with the release date set for July 31, 2015, previously set for November 6, 2015.
