We received our first image of the upcoming Angelina Jolie movie ‘Unbroken’. The image is not quite what we expected, as it features Jolie with the subject of the book, Louis Zamperini. Unbroken will tell the story of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic track star turned plane-crash survivor (spending 47 days alone in a raft at sea) turned prisoner of war during World War II. Zamperini will be played by young Jack O’Connell in the film version that is heading to theaters in December 2014.
Angelina Jolie will not star in this movie, but direct. This will be her second film as director, the first being In the Land of Blood and Honey. An American romantic drama film starring Zana Marjanović, Goran Kostić, and Rade Šerbedžija. The film depicts a love story set against the background of the Bosnian War. It opened in the United States on December 23, 2011, in a limited theatrical release.
