The nominees eligible to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2015 have been announced. There are more than a couple of surprises this year, and many fans will agree that some of the names nominated were long overdue. To be eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame, artists have to have released their first single or album over 25 years ago. There has been some controversy about the process of selecting musicians for the coveted Hall of Fame in the past, with some artist citing their own reasons for misconduct. Each prestigious event has its drama, but more than 700 artists, music industry professionals and historians will decide who will be inducted. The winners will be announced in December and inducted into the Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Cleveland, home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, on April 18.
