The guys over at Latino-Review claim they have the latest scoop on the next installment of “Die Hard 6”. The site hints at the possibility of seeing Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Zeus Carver.
Latino-Review’s El Mayimbe tweeted:
“FOX is meeting writers for takes on next DIE HARD. It has to involve John McClane AND Samuel Jackson’s Zeus Carver character!”
Seeing Jackson back as McClane’s reluctant sidekick will make the sixth installment worth watching. In fact, Jackson will probably be the only reason why fans will be persuaded to stick it out for another round with Bruce Willis as the hard boiled cop, spinning cheesy one-liners. Last year’s “A Good Day to Die Hard” rocked the box office with a respectable worldwide take of $304,6 million, despite critics slamming the film with extremely bad reviews. Based on 210 reviews collected by Rotten Tomatoes, the film received a 14% approval rating from critics, with an average score of 3.9/10.
Willis has reportedly admitted that he is “bored of” shooting action films according to a report published last year via telegraph.co.uk. The action movie veteran was asked for his opinion on action movies and allegedly replied:
“Explosions are one of the most boring parts of my job. When you have seen a few fireballs, it’s not exciting anymore. I know part of my audience enjoys the explosions, but to be honest, I’m a bit bored of it now.”
Will we see Bruce reprise his role as John McClane? Let’s get excited about Samuel L. Jackson’s return once Willis is confirmed huh! The actor also noted that he is in it for the money, he also mentioned in his interview as cited by the telegraph:
“I am very clear with who I am. I work in all sorts of films, but the action movies are the ones that generate the most revenue. I like to earn lots of money from those, but I do all types: small productions, megaprojects, medium sized, even science fiction.”
So it’s all about the Benjamins, I’m sure the studio will reward him handsomely to reprise his role. Sylvester Stallone on the other hand was not impressed with Willis’ huge payment demands apparently. The “Rambo” star tweeted the following message to announce the casting news which introduced Harrison for as Willis’ replacement for “The Expendables 3″
“WILLIS OUT… HARRISON FORD IN !!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!” “GREEDY AND LAZY …… A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE.”
