It’s been a busy week for HBO series creator Nic Pizzolatto with hot casting news spreading like wildfire for the upcoming season of “True Detective”. We received news just yesterday that Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn will star in the anthology crime drama series, and today, we discovered a report by Deadline that claims Keira Knightley has joined the mix of hopefuls.

This is what they had to say:

“Rachel McAdams also continues to be mentioned, though she appears to have a scheduling conflict with a movie, with Keira Knightley’s name also entering the mix.”

Pizzolatto revealed previously that the season will revolve around “hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system.” The story is set to take place in California, but not in Los Angeles.

The official logline for the upcoming season:

“Three police officers and a career criminal must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder.”
