“X-Men: Apocalypse” will be returning to Mel’s Cite du Cinema in Montreal in April 2015 to start the production on the next installment of the mega Marvel franchise. “X-Men: Days of Future Past” was previously shot on location in Montreal while Bryan Singer helmed the production. The director is set to return behind the lens for the eighth installment, which is scheduled to be released on May 27, 2016.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ to Begin Shooting in 2015
Singer was kind enough to give us a quick glimpse at what to expect for the opening sequence of the upcoming “X-Men: Days of Future Past” sequel. The helmer leaked a small part of the script written by him, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris via Instagram back in July. Check out the details Here.
The time-frame is set 10 years after “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, but will “deal with the notion of ancient mutants” according to previous reports. We can also prepare ourselves for an “X-Men” flick that is “more of ‘First Class’ sequel” featuring some of the original cast, and promising to have “more mass destruction” than any “X-Men” film to date. Kinberg also confirmed that “X-Men” movie geeks can expect familiar faces to make an appearance in the follow-up.
