Director J.J.Abrams and Disney are keeping fans on their toes with some very exciting announcements over the last couple of weeks. The key cast members of “Star Wars Episode 7″ has recently been announced, and now the studio is moving forward with filling the roles of minor characters before principal photography kicks off in London on May 14. The extras needed range from generic “interesting looks” to “Sailors/Fisherman/Navy types … Salty Sea Dogs.” Interesting, is this hinting at what’s coming down the line in terms of a possible storyline? In addition to these requirements, the studio will also scout for males and females with “strong physical features, facial scars, big beards, long hair, bad teeth, large facial features, dreadlocks, or interesting ethnic appearance such as darker skin and light eyes.”

Meanwhile, Adam Driver is rumored to take on the role as the main villain in the upcoming pic.  The Latest “Star Wars” reports suggest that Han Solo will have “a gigantic role in the first of the next three films.” Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker have been confirmed to return for the seventh installment. Driver joins the franchise as a newcomer, he is joined by Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Domhnall Gleeson, Daisy Ridley, Andy Serkis and Max von Sydow. Star Wars geeks can expect “Episode 7″ to be set 30 years after 1983’s “Return of the Jedi”. The seventh installment will be released on December 18, 2015. Two sequels are set with the first one to follow in 2017, and the second in 2019.

The Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm, in association with Kasdan Pictures and Bad Robot Productions will begin principal photography on the first in a new stand-alone Star Wars trilogy in London on May 14, 2014. The extras casting team in the United Kingdom has sent out a Star Wars: Episode 7 casting call seeking extras of all ages and types, 16 years and older, to work as fully paid extras and possible featured background actors. There will also be additional casting for smaller speaking roles during production. There are also some specific casting needs such as interesting and unusual character faces, sailor and Navy types.

Star Wars: Episode 7 is now casting extras to appear in the film as fully paid background performers. Some roles will be possible featured background actors. All types and ages are needed, 16 years and older. The following are the breakdowns of some specific needs:
