Ouch! The “Green Lantern” is one of those movies you will either love or hate depending on your geek level of appreciation and love for the character (or even Ryan Rynolds). I am personally still on the fence and find it difficult to say with any conviction that I am truly a fan of the “Green Lantern” movie. To make things worse, and to an extent controversial, is the ongoing rumors that Denzel Washington will take on the role as the Green Lantern in the upcoming “Man of Steel” Sequel.

“According to our source, the “Training Day” actor is being considered for the role of Green Lantern John Stewart instead. If this proves to be true, Green Lantern will join an ever growing list of members from DC’s Justice League of America that also include Superman, Batman and Wonder Women.”
And that’s not all folks, Comicbookmovie.com ads:
“Denzel was involved in another Batman Vs. Superman rumor just several weeks ago. Think McFly Think reported that Denzel was up for the role of Lex Luthor”
Well, it is only rumored (for now). But still, Denzel as the Green Lantern or Lex Luthor? I expect a small riot if the rumors have to materialize!
“Man of Steel 2″ will hit theaters on July 17, 2015. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman, Ben Affleck will make his debut as the caped crusader and Gal Gadot will take on the role as Wonder Woman.
