Don Cheadle will suit up again as War Machine in the “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”. HitFix confirmed that Cheadle will return as Col. James Rhodes and we can expect “Rhodey” to play “”a key role in the conflict with Ultron that is the main focus of the sequel.” It is virtually impossible to predict any outcomes and it seems likely that big changes are coming down the line to setup the final encounter with Thanos (whenever he decides to take on the Avengers). We can only assume that there are more things at play in the background to prepare for the future Marvel movie madness, considering the future of Iron Man (and the inclusion of War Machine) and the other characters involved to setup “Age of Ultron”. The avengers franchise has already seen the inclusion of additional characters to add some spice to the sequel. Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and the villainous Ultron (James Spader) has already been confirmed.

An all or nothing approach is expected considering Joss Whedon’s first instalment scored the highest opening weekend of all time and grossed a worldwide total of $1.5 billion. The bar is set extremely high and the heat is on to produce something that will be able to stand the head in a very jam packed year, that will see many big blockbuster movies released in the summer of 2015.
“Avengers 2” is scheduled to be release on May 1, 2015. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson are expected to reprise their respective roles.

There was talk before of War Machine getting his own movie (sequels probably depending on how the first movie pays out). With Robert Downey Jr. bowing out from future solo Iron Man movies, I think they will focus on War Machine instead.
