Friday the 13th would be wasted if we don’t open up the evening with our favourite freak who loves to slash his victims with a machete. There are over 12 movies in the franchise to choose from, so start with the first one ( the iconic 1980 classic) showcasing Voorhees’ origin story at Crystal Lake.

Everybody loves the mentally unstable Halloween killer who at times seems like a distant relative of Jason Voorhees, walking around very slowly while picking off his victims with a butchers knife. Michael Myers also dons a mask and seems to be immortal, even though he has been “killed” many times. Perhaps we should arrange a showdown between Vorhees and Myers to determine who is the most cunning serial killer. There are over 10 movies in the franchise to choose from, so start with the first one ( the iconic 1978 classic) starring scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis.
