Tom Cruise’s wildly popular spy movies are unstoppable at the box office with yet another installment making huge headlines across the globe. “Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation” rocked the weekend box office with an estimated $56 million debut. The movie raked in over $121 million internationally with a record breaking opening in South Korea with $17.1 million. The movie is also Paramount’s second-best international opener of all time after “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”, and also stands as Cruise’s third biggest domestic opening of all time, behind “War of the Worlds” ($64.9 million) and “Mission: Impossible II”. Critics over at Rottentomatoes.com are very impressed with the Christopher McQuarrie directed pic, the site’s consensus reads:

Critically Acclaimed ‘Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation’ Smashes Box Office Records
“Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation” contended with another newcomer over the weekend. R-rated comedy “Vacation” took second place with an estimated $14.8 million despite critics shooting down the Ed Helms starring pic. Paul Rudd’s “Ant-Man” is still kicking butt at the box office in third place with $12.6 million, followed by the wildly popular animated comedy “Minions” with $12.2 million. Adam Sandler’s high-budget movie “Pixels” continue to disappoint with only $10.4 million in its second week at the box office in fifth place.
