We’re huge Katee Sackhoff fans. Which means we are pretty ecstatic to let you guys know that Battlestar Galactica‘s Katee Sackhoff has partnered with Reunion Pictures to create and star in a new series called Rain. Sackhoff will also be Executive Producer through her company, Fly Free Productions. According to Deadline Hollywood:

Rain is described as an evolutionary parable that gives us a look into our possible future as a species viewed through the eyes of a soldier named Rain (Sackhoff). It explores how the long term affects of global warming, the burning of fossil fuels and the scientific manipulation of nature’s balance rot the world and contribute to it’s decline.
“With Rain Katee has created a future world and a story that are compelling as both a sweeping vision and a very personal exploration of a civilization in harrowing decline by its own hand,” said Reunion Pictures’ Tom Rowe. “She has written a great story and we are excited to be working with her.”
Sounds good to us. We’re on board with whatever Katee Sackhoff does.
I’m still hoping against hope that she’ll get cast as Captain Marvel. She has just the right kind of edgy charisma to make a spectacular big-screen action star, and this character would be the perfect showcase to launch her into the A-list.
