“The opportunity to take on this nearly Shakespearean character – that’s what graphic novels and comic books are becoming, right?”

“[He’s] this beautiful disaster of a character – what a big challenge.”

Tom Hardy would have joined Jared Leto (The Joker) but the British actor was forced to exit the comic book film due to scheduling conflicts. The buff star is currently shooting Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s “The Revenant” which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio. Multiple reports claim that the movie may not have finished when “Suicide Squad” goes into production in April. In addition to the Oscar-winning actor we can expect Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne to play Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Boomerang and Enchantress respectively. The movie centring a group of DC supervillains who are sent on a suicide mission by the government to redeem their past, is set to be released on August 5, 2016. Critically acclaimed director David Ayer will take seat behind the lens for the upcoming pic. We are still waiting for confirmation to see if “Robocop” star Joel Kinnaman managed to nab the role as Rick Flag since Hardy left the project five weeks ago.
