There were more than a couple of excellent titles that kept us busy in 2014, and it seems the next 12 months has much to offer.

Let’s have a look at our Top 5 Must Play Games of 2015

1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

May 19 – PC, PS4, Xbox One

The Witcher series has expanded into open-world monster hunting territory with its latest iteration set to hit gaming stores in 2015. Geralt is back in action while supplying an endless supply of battles, suspense and blood. The new epic adventure offers gamers more than just a physical box edition with a disc and manual. Your purchase will contain premium items prepared by the developers for those gamers who want to enter the Witcher universe with style. There is a Wild Hunt Collector’s Edition which the development team describes “as the most artistically complete game figure ever made for a collector’s edition of a game”. So far The Witcher 3 Collector’s Edition seems like the way to go with the offering presented as every Witcher fan’s dream come true.

The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan has brought a new edge to the Cold War, and in 1984, a one-eyed man with a prosthetic arm appears in the country. That’s right geeks, those who know him call him Snake and he’s ready to kick ass and take names once more. The legendary mercenary who was once swept from the stage of history and left in a coma by American private intelligence network Cipher will now be accompanied by Ocelot, an old friend who saved him from attack when he finally awoke. Snake’s former partner Kazuhira Miller is being held by the Soviet forces in Afghanistan and it’s up to Snake and company to rescue Miller and prove to the world that the legendary mercenary is not dead and gone. Being developed by Kojima Productions, the game takes place after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, The Phantom Pain serves as a prequel to Metal Gear. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been speculated for a Q3 2015 release.

No Man’s Sky is offering an experience like no other which allows players to explore and battle to survive in an infinite procedurally generated galaxy. 4. Tom Clancy’s The Division

Coming 2015 – PS4, Xbox One, PC

Tom Clancy’s The Division takes place in a mid-crisis scenario which pays attention to nuance and detail to localization. The hyper-realistic game is promising to push the limits of the design team to bring something to the table that has never been seen before by Ubisoft. The storyline takes us to the events of a devastating pandemic that sweeps through New York City as basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, The Division agents are trained to operate independently of command, as all else fails. Fighting to prevent the fall of society, the agents will find themselves caught up in an epic conspiracy, forced to combat not only the effects of a manmade virus, but also the rising threat of those behind it.

5. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

After Naughty Dog set the bar with The Last of Us, fans are extremely eager to see what is next for Drake and his epic adventures. I personally will miss the game series as Drake head out for one last treasure hunt. Nathan Drake can’t have it both ways as he reaches a cross-road between the adventure life and settling down with someone he loves. Now left with a last chance scenario to make the right choice, Drake is set to face the biggest challenge of his life. Several years after his last adventure he is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.
