Christian Bale’s Batman trilogy is not the only film series to feature the epic caped crusader on the big screen. DC in collaboration with the Lego company are proud to announce that the Batman character in “The Lego Movie” is getting his very own spin-off movie. The Hollywood Reporter says that Warner Bros. is planning to release the movie in 2017, and Will Arnett is expected to return as the voice of Batman.

The Hollywood Reporter says:

“Batman was one of the highlights of The Lego Movie, stealing every scene he was in. With Arnett taking Christian Bale’s gravely voice to an extreme degree, the character was arrogant, dark, sarcastic and just too-cool-for-this-adventure. Lego Batman already heads a very popular franchise. There have been at least three video games as well as a straight-to-video Lego Batman: The Movie — DC Super Heroes Unite, where Troy Baker provided the voice for the Dark Knight.”
