Scottish producer Calvin Harris tops Forbes’ list as the Highest Paid DJ of 2014. The list of “Electronic Cash Kings” was released on Tuesday, August 19, featuring the names of the hottest DJ’s in the bizz. Harris stuffed his piggy bank with an additional $20 million compared to 2013, with an overall take of $66 million in 2014. Not bad for a former grocery store stocker huh? He’s one of the hottest DJ’s collaborating with top artists at the moment, which includes the likes of Rihanna and Kesha who helped him land headline gigs at EDM-focused. Harris has reportedly played over 50 festivals and nightclub gigs with his slate of events fully booked for the next year.

The top five is rounded up with French house DJ David Guetta in the second spot with $30 million. French EDM DJ, remixer, and record producer Avicii and Dutch DJ Tiesto each made $28 million in third and fourth place respectively. The fifth spot is occupied by Japanese-American electro house king and founder of Dim Mak Records with $23 million.

The EDM business is booming with an increase of 11% when comparing figures calculated for the top ten earners on last year’s list. According to Forbes’ calculations for Electronic Cash Kings, the top performers for 2014 raked in over $268 million.
