DC fans have much to look forward to with Barry Allen’s The Flash (played by Grant Gustin) taking The CW by storm as one of the most anticipated shows on the network channel in the last decade. We finally have some full footage showing off how the Flash sprints at top speed in the new trailer released. The effects heavy clip features multiple shots of the titular character moving at tar melting speeds. It looks really impressive and certainly a CW first in terms of epic cinematography at this level of TV productions. In other scenes we get to see Barry suiting up and saving people with his new-found superpowers.

The Flash” will branch off the “Arrow” universe story arch and is filmed as a traditional stand-alone pilot. CW initially planned a backdoor pilot but “The Flash” will receive his own grand opening! “Arrow” co-creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and series scribe Geoff Johns will pen the pilot. “Arrow” helmer David Nutter will serve as director. Gustin is supported by Rick Cosnett, Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton and Carlos Valdes. John Wesley Shipp, who played Barry Allen on CBS’s The Flash series in the 90s, is set to recur as the title character’s father. The spin-off is set to premiere on Tuesday, October 7 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
