Paramount and Warner Bros. have teamed up with IMAX to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of “Forrest Gump” with a special exclusive one-week IMAX engagement on September 5. The film that will forever remind us of boxes of chocolates, ironic bumper stickers and unnecessary long walks has found new life with the upcoming IMAX releases an audition tape that was leaked online. It’s been over 20 years since Tom Hanks played the iconic titular character. ‘Forrest Gump’ was a smash hit and Oscar-winning cult classic, so years later it’s really fun to see how Hanks tackled the role in his official audition.  While the video claim to be Tom Hanks audition tapes, Slate.com suggested that the clip was in fact screen test footage for the film’s other stars, Robin Wright and a very young Haley Joel Osment.
