His reply on twitter:

“Sam Raimi will!”

Bruce Campbell is expected to reprise his roles as Ash Williams “Evil Ash”. Campbell recently confirmed that despite the long delay, fans can still expect a sequel:

He said:

“The last one was twenty-two years ago. I just haven’t been racing to do it. Sam Raimi is just a little bit busy making the biggest movies in Hollywood. I used to be busy. Now I’m not. That’s why I’m here,”

He also jokingly added:

“Ash would have to stop occasionally from chasing some deadite to catch his breath. Maybe we could do that, I guess. That would be exciting. Fight in a walker. That would be alright. Hit them with my cane. Fake them out, have a fake heart attack, distract a zombie. I like it.”

The 1992 “Army of Darkness”, also known as “Evil Dead 3: Army of Darkness” follows the story of an unassuming store clerk Ash who is time-warped into England’s Dark Ages, where he must find the Necronomicon, a compendium of the black arts, before he can return home. His journey leads him to battle an army of skeletons and romance with a beautiful princess.

It is not clear if the sequel will follow the same dark comedy tone of the original. GeekShizzle will keep you posted.
