1. Carrie – October 18th

Chloë Grace Moretz better know as “Hit-Girl” from Kick-Ass will portray Carrie White

We are huge fans of the original Carrie, and after already identifying the Carrie Remake as one were not particularly looking forward to, what we’ve seen in the first official trailer may prove otherwise.  Even though we still feel that Carrie should be left alone and spared another Hollywood remake,  Chloë Grace Moretz and director Kimberley Peirce may surprise us and deliver something worth watching this October.

Even though it appears that Peirce’s remake will be made with her own visual style and thematic emphasis, one can’t remove the fact that it fails to really show how this new version will win over fans of the 1976 cult classic. So many people know the story beat-for-beat and one can only hope that the final product will produce the shock factor and really showcase Moretz’s acting ability.

The March 15 release date for the anticipated film has been postponed to October 18. Just in time for Halloween.

In the highly anticipated new season, we find Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the group fostering a thriving community in the safe haven of the prison. Sadly, in this brutal world, happiness is short-lived and walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group’s home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous. Season 4 also introduces several new characters including Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard Jr., “The Wire”).

We were promised that season 4 will introduce an almost undefeatable threat! The trailer released during this years Comic Con (below) may give us a few ideas as to what this threat is. Looks like we’re in for plenty of zombies (and humans) getting killed, Just the way we like it.

Vampire fans with a taste for blood should be very excited about NBC’s “Dracula”, portayed by Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (the tudors). The series takes viewers back to the Victorian era in London, where Alexander Grayson a.k.a. Dracula poses as an American entrepreneur while trying to bring down a shadowy organization called the Order of the Dragon. The series reunites Meyers and “The Tudors” director, Steve Shill.

The show will also feature Van Helsing. The man who plays Dracula in Dario Argento’s Dracula 3D is going to be Abraham Van Helsing.  According to THR, Van Helsing “is not the classic hero featured in so many retellings. Here, he’s a brilliant professor with a cool exterior who is obsessed with revenge and makes him more of a threat to the public than to Dracula.”

In addition to this, NBC has released an animated original series which serves as a prequel to the new show titled “Dracula Rising”. The prequel series has debuted on the network’s official site and YouTube page, which explores the origins of the 15th century Vlad Tepes a.k.a. Dracula
