Director Edgar Wright has finally shed some light since the announcement that Ultron will not feature in the movie “Ant-man”. This caused some confusion due to the fact that Ant-man aka Hank Pym is the creator of Ultron, and some of you will know that Ant-Man is one of the co-founders of “The Avengers”. Adding to the already confusing situation “The Avengers” sequel was announced as the “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” which may have led many fans to believe that “Ant-man” will make an appearance in the sequel.  This was however clarified by the “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” director Joss Whedon, Pym will feature only in “Ant-Man”.

Wright confirms that “Ant-Man” will be about Pym and not his robotic creation. Speaking to Huffington Post, Wright explains his plan which excludes Ultron:

“It was never in my script. Because even just to sort of set up what Ant-Man does is enough for one movie. It’s why I think “Iron Man” is extremely successful because it keeps it really simple. You have one sort of — the villain comes from the hero’s technology. It’s simple. So I think why that film really works and why, sometimes, superhero films fail — or they have mixed results — because they have to set up a hero and a villain at the same time. And that’s really tough. And sometimes it’s unbalanced.”

We are in for a very interesting ride until The Avengers: Age of Ultron and “Ant-Man” is released in 2015. Fans were very curious as to how Director Whedon will introduce Ultron in the “Avengers” sequel, the super villain is arguably one of the most powerful advisories to face-off against. Reports suggest that Ulton’s powers will be “Stripped Back” to “humanize” him in a way.
