Star Craft 2 Heart of the Swarm
The next edition of the epic Strategy Game Star Craft 2, “Heart of the Swarm” (HotS) is just around the corner, getting released on March the 12th! Get ready for the Ultimate Zerg rush and battle with new units!

Star Craft II – Heart of the swarm is finally upon us! Blizzard decided the break the long anticipated Star Craft II into 3 separate games. Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm, and the third untitled part.  With Wings of Liberty, Blizzard set out to advance StarCraft’s carefully balanced and tactically challenging real-time strategy model by adding better matchmaking, advanced social features, new units, and a sweeping cinematic campaign. In Heart of the Swarm, they’re pushing StarCraft even further — to the edges of the galaxy.  This time you will get the chance to delve deeper into the hive mind of the zerg than ever before.

“You are Sarah Kerrigan, former Queen of Blades. Once the most feared entity in the galaxy, you now wait in a cell in the depths of a high-security research laboratory. Before the murderous forces of the Terran Dominion close in, you must plot your escape to the dark reaches of space… and reclaim your living empire at the Heart of the Swarm.”

 

HotS continues the story of StarCraft II: the conflict between the human terrans, the ravenous zerg, and the psionic protoss. You will continue the story of  Sarah Kerrigan, the former zerg Queen of Blades. At the end of Wings of Liberty her humanity was restored, but she remains a threat to all she encounters. The memory of her time as the mutant leader of the swarm lingers — as does her yearning for revenge.

Here’s the part that I am most excited about…the new units!! We get what is called the tempest, viper, and widow Mine. Some veteran units are getting a face-lift as well. The hellions can now transform into hellbats to engage in close combat, and the protoss mothership can now be built from the stripped-down mothership core.

Personally I look forward to kicking some ass with Sarah. I’ve always been a Terran fan though, but you must admit the Zerg have some pretty cool units!
